TORONTO, Canada — January 15, 2026 — Solarion AI™, operated by Solarion AI Inc., today announced the beginning of development of Compute Passport™, an enterprise technology initiative focused on identity, accountability and trust infrastructure for artificial intelligence agents.
The initiative is being developed around an emerging enterprise requirement: as AI systems become increasingly agentic and gain the ability to access applications, interact with data, use tools and perform actions, organizations will need reliable ways to establish the identity, ownership, authorization context and activity history of those systems.
Compute Passport™ is intended to explore a persistent identity layer for AI agents that can operate alongside existing enterprise identity, security and governance infrastructure.
BUILDING IDENTITY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR AI AGENTS
Traditional enterprise identity systems were primarily designed for people, devices, applications and service accounts. AI agents introduce a different class of digital actor: software systems that may reason, select tools, interact with multiple services and perform actions with varying levels of autonomy.
Solarion AI™ is beginning development of Compute Passport™ to examine how these agents can be assigned persistent identities and governed throughout their operational lifecycle.
The objective is to make AI agents easier to identify, authorize, monitor and audit as they move from experimental environments into production enterprise systems.
THE COMPUTE PASSPORT™ CONCEPT
The initial concept is centered on four foundational capabilities:
Unique ID — Tracking — Audit — Report
A Compute Passport™ could provide a persistent identity record associated with an AI agent and its organizational context. The record may include ownership, sponsorship, intended purpose, system relationships, authorization context, lifecycle status and governance evidence.
Activity records could provide an auditable history of how an agent has operated, including relevant identity events, access decisions and actions captured through connected enterprise systems.
EARLY DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
Initial development will focus on the technical foundations required to establish and manage AI identities across enterprise environments.
Areas under exploration include:
- Persistent identity for AI agents and autonomous workloads
- Ownership and accountable sponsorship records
- Authorization and access context
- Lifecycle status and revocation
- Activity and evidence records
- Audit and reporting capabilities
- Integration with existing enterprise identity and security systems
The architecture is expected to evolve as development progresses and as enterprise requirements for agentic AI become clearer.
FROM REGISTRATION TO RETIREMENT
Solarion AI™ is exploring an operating model that follows an AI agent from initial registration through the end of its operational lifecycle:
Register → Identify → Authorize → Operate → Track → Audit → Report → Retire
Under this model, an organization could establish an identity when an agent enters an environment, associate it with an accountable owner, define the systems and resources relevant to its role, and maintain evidence as the agent operates.
This approach is intended to help organizations build a clearer record of which AI agents are active, what they are permitted to do and what activity can be reconstructed when security, governance or audit review is required.
ENTERPRISE INTEROPERABILITY
Compute Passport™ is being designed to complement established enterprise infrastructure rather than replace it.
Future development will explore interoperability with identity and access management platforms, cloud environments, AI orchestration systems, APIs, cybersecurity technologies, governance platforms and audit infrastructure.
The goal is to create an identity and accountability layer that can operate across heterogeneous enterprise environments while preserving existing security and governance controls.
RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT
Compute Passport™ is at an early stage of development. Solarion AI™ will initially focus on architecture, identity models, registration, authorization context, activity records, lifecycle controls, auditability and a working demonstration environment.
Development will proceed iteratively as the company evaluates technical requirements, enterprise integration patterns and emerging approaches to AI agent governance.
